The hours is a movie about a story written by Virginia Wolf while she was loosing her mind and before she killed her self, which takes an original (to me at least) way of presenting the movie. It cuts back to Virginia writing the story, the woman living in 2001 whom the story is happening to, and a woman living in the 1950’s who appears to be going through much of what both the people in her story, and Virginia wolf are going threw. The two not being Virginia Wolf end up being linked in a way which became obvious to me early on, but for the more naïve of movie goers it may not have been as easy to pick out. Any of you who have read “Yellow Wallpaper” in English class or on your own have a great understanding of what is happening to Virginia Wolf in the beginning of the story. The movie deals with problems of the mind, including sanity, morality, and such. It is a great movie, and I give it my highest rating.
