The Suicide Club
I found this movie actually looking for a movie by the same title made in the United Kingdom, I was rather disapointed to find that I had actually found a Japanese one as I have watched many a japanese film as of late.
This movie starts as most Japanese things do, with suicide. But this isn’t your ordinary suicide; this is 54 happy Japanese school girls holding hands jumping in front of a train. Probably one of the goriest scenes I’ve ever seen in a film. Here and at later suicides a sports bag with a reel of human skin is found. After this some kids start joking around about the suicides on a roof, they decide it would be funny to stand on the edge of the roof and pretend like there going to jump, but in fact they do jump, all but 2 women and a man, the one woman walks over to the man and pushes him off with her, the a bunch of people come up the stairs and the remaining woman says “We are the suicide club” before jumping. Following this police investigate, there are more single suicides, and a person who wasn’t right in the head tries to take credit for the suicides so he can go down in history, although he is not the one responsible. It ends up that a band of 12 year old girls singing what appear to be happy songs are actually promoting subliminal messages to kill your self, and have formed a cult of somewhat brainwashed children. They are never apprehended and the film pretty much ends here which is very disappointing. Oh, and did I mention the main character commits suicide about half way through the film.
I wouldnt watch it again, but I don't regret watching it. If your in the mood for somthing kind of scary and Japanese give it a try.

Kill Bill Volume 1
Oh Bill, we hardly knew thee. I was expecting much better from this film, I expected better from Tarantino, I expected wrong. Here is my summary of the movie, chick gets shot, goes in a coma, comes out of the comma, decapitates like 90 people. The End. This movie was just non-stop blood squirting and heads rolling. There was the occasional laugh, but other then that, blood and heads. It was somewhat neat though how it switched between genres in the film such Western, 70’s, Anime, B&W Kung Fu. This was one of the few parts I enjoyed about the movie. Even with how much it sounds like I hate the movie, I still am going to need to see Volume 2.

The Borne Identity
I know this is a bit late since the movie is almost out of theaters, but The Borne Identity is a great movie. It is one of the few action movies I actualy liked. There were NO slow spots, not a single time you could go to the bathroom and not miss somthing but this does not affect me because I have a rather large bladder. Its based off a mini series from the early 80's but my dad says other than having the same context none of the events were the same. Its about a secret agent who finds himself on a russian fishing boat with no memory of his life. He must struggle to find out who he is and why people are trying to kill him. For what it lacks in actual plot it well makes up in action. Also it has the BEST car chase ever. GO SEE IT

Lord of the Rings
Lord of the rings, how do I put it, sucked. It was a boring movie with no plot, someone who read the book would say, oh but Ganindorf had a big hat, and then I'd tell that person to stop talking. It was honestly one of the boringest movies I'd ever seen, the plot was "hey I found a ring, its evil, run run run, stop talk to some people, run some more" and that took 3 hours, that would be good for say a half an hour show but stretch that out over 3 bloody hours it sucks. Some might say "d00d, that's the first, it gets better" to which I would respoind "if a movie takes over 3 hours to get good its not worth watching" The only thing good about the entire movie was the sceenery, other than that it was almost as boring as "Primary Colors" but primary colors had an excuse, it was about Bill Clinton

Malholland Drive
When I first begin to watch the movie I was skepticle of its greatness which had already been described to me in much detail by several of my friends. But as I watched I was pulled into the seemingly senceless, strangness of the film. The movie was about two women whos lived seemed almost more intertwied then physically possible. Everything in the movie from the colors of objects to the angles of the faces(jeff disagrees on this) seemed to have meaning. Their are many parts of the movie which are never realy explained and just add to the mystisism of the film. It was honestly one of the most confusing, and is the best movie I have ever seen. If you watch the movie with an open mind you will enjoy the movie. I give it 2 tusks up!
